"What You Will," starring Roger Rees
Roger Rees? tour-de-force, "What You Will," is a collection of performances, anecdotes and offbeat insights about performing Shakespeare drawn from 22 years with the Royal Shakespeare Company (he holds the Stratford-Upon-Avon record for playing Hamlet). Using an informal structure and humor to increase the drama and highlight the beauty of Shakespeare while demystifying it, the show includes great speeches from Henry V, Macbeth, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet; impersonations of Voltaire and George Bernard Shaw; renditions of passages from Dickens and James Thurber; and anecdotes about working with other great Shakespearean actors like Judi Dench, Ben Kingsley and Laurence Olivier.
