Elaine M. Erne: Drawings and Prints
Rowan University Art Gallery showcases Philadelphia artist Elaine M. Erne's series, The Lives and Ttraumas of Stuffed Animals, large-scale graphite pencil drawings and prints depicting stuffed toys in ambiguous, threatening situations. The almost darkly humorous work uses toys as tropes for the traumatic experience of child abuse. An opening reception with a gallery talk is October 14 from 5 - 7 pm.
