Introduction
Welcome to the Cultural Access Network
Welcome to the Cultural Access Network website: a resource to help connect New Jersey arts patrons and organizations to a wide range of information about accessibility in the Arts!
To recognize, encourage and inspire the arts and cultural community in the area of cultural access, we are delighted to introduce the Cultural Access Awards for organizations and individuals who have demonstrated leadership in cultural access.
To assist your organization in building your 2010 ADA plan, The New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Cultural Access Network are offering three workshop sessions to aid you and your organization in preparing your new and updated ADA plans.
Our Arts Events calendar enables patrons with disabilities to search for upcoming arts events based on their specific access requirements. We want all people to be able to attend and participate more fully in the diverse range of arts programming available in NJ: from theatre, music and dance to museums, arts exhibitions and much, much more.
The comprehensive Resources section of our site provides ADA Materials, General Information pertaining to accessibility, and tools to assist organizations in improving the accessibility of their programs. Our Cultural Access News newsletter archive features a wealth of articles and editorials relevant to disabilities and the arts.- The mission of the Cultural Access network is to help make New Jersey arts events more universally accessible to all possible audiences. Our Services section offers equipment rental, sign interpretation referral services, and sensitivity training sessions to arts organizations.
